We are proud to present our Guests...

   GUEST OF HONOR: CONNIE WILLIS

Connie Willis has won more Hugo and Nebula awards than any other science fiction author. The New York Times Book Review says, "Connie Willis deploys the apparatus of science fiction to illuminate character and relationships, and her writing is fresh, subtle and deeply moving." Not only have fans acclaimed and awarded Connie Willis' science fiction stories, but they have often heard her quick wit and gift for public speaking on display at conventions. In a recent interview, she said "The time is ripe for comedy. It's the best of times and the worst of times. There's all this great material, but no one has a sense of humor about anything. We really are Victorians now -- it's so distressing."

ARTIST GUEST OF HONOR: ALEX ROSS

Alex Ross is one of the most popular artists in the business today, but his portfolio of published work is much smaller than most "hot" artists. When you see his art you immediately know why: detail. Alex' star rose with the publication of Marvels in 1993, a four issue mini-series that detailed the epic history of the Marvel heroes from ground-level through the eyes of an every-man reporter who was there from the very beginning. Ross' realistic painted style rocked both the industry and the fans, winning him multiple Harvey and Eisner awards.

FAN GUEST OF HONOR: JOE SICLARI

Joe Siclari is a prominent member of Florida fandom, a founder of SFSFS (South Florida Science Fiction Society) and FANAC (Florida Association for Nucleation and Conventions).

We will have many more people joining us on panels throughout the weekend. Further information on other panelists will be found under "Programming" as we get closer to the convention.
