What is Filk?
Filk is the music of science fiction fandom. Come to the concerts or open filking in the evenings at Loscon to see what it's like. If that's not enough for you, there is also a local group that gets together monthly (LAFA) and a local filk convention (ConChord). The word originated as a typo, and was adapted to the music that had been performed at conventions for decades by then.
And Interfilk?
Interfilk is a non-profit organization that sends filkers to share music with filk conventions that they wouldn't otherwise be able to attend. Their main source of income is auctions at filk conventions.
Our fan guest of honor this year, Lynn Gold, is well known for her original, humorous filk songs.
