MASQUERADE at LOSCON 30
When in the course of human (or alien) events, it becomes necessary to dress up in funny clothes and show them off to other aficionados ...
Come to the Masquerade, Saturday evening, and be ready for anything, or any one. Or, if you prefer, enter your own creation, and show off your work. The sign up desk will be at the coat check desk across from the Art Show all day Friday and until noonish or so on Saturday (see Hotel Layout). If you are late, talk to the Masquerade director, who doesn’t bite ... much.
Please, no fire, unsheathed edged weapons, food products, projectiles and remember, No Costume is still No Costume. If you have any questions, ask the director; surprise the audience, NOT the director.
The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m. (times approximate). The Master of Ceremonies will be Tadao Tomomatsu and your director is Jess Miller.

HALL COSTUMING at LOSCON 30
Approximately 130 Hall Costume Awards were given out at Loscon 29.   This is up from 35 the year before. Some of them were truly incredible! Our program to get fans into costume is becoming successful! This year we hope to have a two level system in place: "Hall Costume Awards" and a new, as yet un-named category of Fan-Tan-Tastic Hall Costume Award. Would you like to name the category? Send your suggestions to:
hallcostumes@loscon.org
We'll think of something to give to the best suggestion. Maybe this year we can get to 20% participants in costume ...
See you (in a Hall Costume) this year!

VIRTUAL MASQUERADE at LOSCON 30
The Kermit-cam will be navigating the corridors of Loscon 30, to record it's yearly travelogue of the worlds of SF fandom, and the strange-looking beings who inhabit them.
The show will be screened for all and sundry during the half-time break of the Masquerade.
If you have a word for our navigator, please contact him at virtualmasquerade@loscon.org
