The convention committee of Loscon 31 is busy planning a number of events, both traditional and new, to entertain you during the course of the convention weekend. The theme of the convention revolves around the City of Los Angeles, and the events/locations which the outside world associates with this locality throughout space and time.
During the daylight hours there will be a busy schedule of Panel Programming, with even more possibilities than in years past due to the fact that this new hotel offers more programming room space. Several rooms are being slated for the programming of demonstrations and round table events which may have limited audiences. A track of Children's Programming is being planned, including panels specifically geared to our young adult population. The tentative final panel schedule has be posted, including a list of the autograph sessions.
During the evening at Loscon 31 several events are being planned to entertain you with their themes revolving about Los Angeles type events. Lux Theatre will be back with yet another production to entertain as they present "A Spaceman's Home Companion" following the Ice Cream Social and before the evening dance on Friday night. On the Saturday evening will be the traditional Masquerade followed by another rock dance. We encourage any of you to consider presenting your latest costume or craziest performance upon our Masquerade stage. Visit our Masquerade Page for more about this event and sign up information.
Other standard Loscon events will be with us again, including the Anime Room, Gaming Room, the Listening Lounge, and the Filking Room. A section of the Dealer's Room is being slated for an on-going series of Autograph Sessions, courtesy of our visiting authors.
Our Charity Events, the Toy Drive and the Blood Drive, will also be continuing so plan now on contributing at the convention.
