Fiona Avery is a writer working in Los Angeles, California.   Previous television credits include work on Babylon 5, Crusade and Earth: Final Conflict.   She has also written radio drama adaptations of award-winning short stories for Seeing Ear Theater featuring such actors as Timothy Hutton.   Her first novel, a historical tale about the French monarchy, The Crown Rose, was published in May 2005 through Pyr Publications.   Avery’s recent comics include the Eisner-winning Amazing Spider-Man, and Big Apple Award-winner Arana, which also claimed a “Woman of the Year!” by Latina Magazine.   Fiona loves writing about warfare and has read one too many ‘Art of War’ books in her day.   Her favorite possession is a chisa katana from around the year 1200 C.E.   She balances her tomboyish collection of swords, katana and toy lightsabers by wearing pink.
