A Viet Nam Vet, Mr. Eggett retired from the US Navy in 1970 and shortly worked on his first film as a mechanical Effectsman.   In 1979 he moved to Los Angeles and over the next 30 years he created the effects for over 130 feature films.   A licenced Pyrotechnition, he has created explosive effects for film, stage, and outdoor events.   For the last few years he has been working mostly on TV shows.   He claims he's "semi-retired" so he only works 50 hrs/week on effects.   The rest of the time he splits between restoring antique cars and airplanes, and writing.
