I've been writing for feature films and television since the mid-to-late 1980's. My only produced science fiction credit is an independent feature called "Accidents," released by Epic and starring Edward Albert. The authors I like best gravitate toward fantasy (Zelazny, Herbert, Tolkien), although I enjoy a lot of mainstream science fiction, too. I'm among the crowd of people who say there are very few "true" science fiction movies out there. Most so-called science fiction movies are really thrillers, westerns or war movies told in a futuristic setting, with very little emphasis on "what if science gave us this, and how would it change us?" Recently I've switched from screenplays to novels, and I hope to finish a novel soon.
