John DeChancie is the author of over two-dozen books, fiction and nonfiction.   His novels have attracted a wide readership for more than twenty years, and his books have been printed in foreign languages.   His short fiction has appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction and in numerous original anthologies, the latest of which is I, Alien, edited by Mike Resnick.   He currently lives in the Los Angeles area.
