Cat Devereaux has been into costuming forever.   Along the way she has costumed in TV, film and theatre.   Much of her earlier work was the slash and burn style of construction required for the jobs.   Today she prefers insanely detailed workmanship and recreation.   She has worked all levels of masquerades and fashion shows from gofer on up.   She is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Costumer’s Guild and co-author of  “The Masquerade Handbook”.

She loves teaching techniques to others.   This has lately lead to creating the  "Lord of the Rings Costume" website where folks gather for costume study.   (www.AlleyCatScratch.com)   The web site is rapidly expanding to cover many facets of costume construction and sewing techniques.   She also creates jewelry and doll clothing to continue her costuming obsession.
