A fan since 1974, Val Ontell‘s many con positions include chairing the 1986 and 1989 Lunacons; 2002 Lunacon Fan GOH (with her husband Ron,); and committee positions at Worldcons, Westercons, ComicCon International, and Con-Dor (in San Diego).   Her 30+ years as a librarian include eight at the Bronx High School of Science and 15 in her current position at San Diego Mesa College.
