Born in 1952 in Los Angeles, Steven Barnes has published over two million words of fiction, been nominated for Hugo, Nebula, and Cable Ace Awards, and won the Endeavor Award for his alternate history novel  LION'S BLOOD.   He and his wife, novelist Tananarive Due recently sold their theatrical motion picture script  THE GOOD HOUSE  to Fox Searchlight Pictures.   He lives in Covina with his wife, daughter Nicki, and son Jason.
